Ms Augusta Khew graduated with LLB (Hons.) from the University of London (External Programme) in August 1995 and thereafter obtained the Certificate in Legal Practice in June 1997. After completing her pupillage, she was called to the Malaysian Bar in January 1998.

Taking a break from law, she spent several years in the UK working for various companies, mainly in administrative roles. In November 2002, she obtained a Master of Science in Information Systems Design from the University of Westminster, UK and subsequently returned to Malaysia, joining a regional women's health and rights NGO as a Programme Officer (Information). She was part of the research and writing team responsible for the Malaysian chapter in the "Women of the World: Laws and Policies Affecting their Reproductive Lives - East and Southeast Asia" published by The Center for Reproductive Rights.

In March 2005, she resigned from her post at the NGO and joined the Firm in May 2005. Ms Khew was promoted as a Senior Legal Assistant with effect from 1st January, 2009 and was made partner on 1st January 2013.

Ms Khew's current area of practice mainly covers corporate and commercial legal advisory work. She has experience in corporate restructuring, acquisitions of shares, project financing, matters involving shareholders' disputes, advising on foreign investment in Malaysia, setting up of companies and joint ventures, initial public offerings and listing of shares in Bursa Malaysia; carrying out and supervising pre-acquisition and pre-implementation due diligence reviews; and advising on, reviewing and drafting of security documentation and various commercial contracts/agreements.
